Local newspapers and magazines have written that 'Quail's Limousin Beef is excellent and is what makes them unique.'
This is why many customers return to Quails daily and weekly to choose from the great selection of prime cuts of beef, lamb, poultry and pork.
All meats are prepared in the shop's butchery by experienced staff who are fully qualified butchers with certificates in food hygiene. They ensure that only the best cuts are available to buy. One food journalist notes that it is "the careful attention to quality in procurement of fresh meats yields to some of the tastiest products you'll find in the country." Quail's also supply sauces and spices to complement their meat range which you can learn more about in the Deli section.
With a strong focus on quality you can be confident that you are taking home a cut of Quail's best.
Educating Customers
Customers have always expressed an interest in learning where their food comes from. Jim Quail sources the majority of his needs from cattle bred on his own farm. He also uses other highly recommended sources for other products such as chicken and pork. This type of information is openly available to Quail's customers and many take the invitation to participate in 'Open Days' hosted on the farm so they can see for themselves exactly how stock is reared.
Quail's also encourages visits from their younger customers as shown in the photo.
Here Damian, an experienced butcher at Quails, spent the day with local pupils from Abercorn Primary School. He showed them around the premises explaining what the various pieces of machinery are for and then finished off by demonstrating how sausages are made.
