On 16th October Quails headed to the Harbour Commissioner’s Office in Belfast for a major launch event for Small Business Saturday. Northern Ireland was a massive supporter of the campaign last year and the enthusiasm from was really tangible.
First Minister, Peter Robinson launched this year’s event as well as Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Ivan Lewis, Danny Kennedy MLA and Mervyn Storey MLA. The First Minister lent his support to the campaign by encouraging people to spend a few hours Christmas shopping in their local high street this year, taking advantage of the many unique shops and small businesses that have goods to offer. The Minister reminded us that Christmas was a crucial time of year for many local businesses and stressed the importance to them of a successful first shopping Saturday in December, which can really make the difference for many business owners.
The First Minister even had time to stop by and admire our award winning sirloin steaks.
